occhristmas is moving...

As this post suggests, we are moving - and we will be taking our lights with us.  Sadly, this ends the holiday tradition known as Christmas in the O.C. (the O.C. Stands for Oak Cliff in case you didn't know).  We would like to thank all of you who have supported us and the SPCA over the past years.

As many of you noticed who had visited us in previous years, we scaled back the display in 2011.  This was not intentional - we were not trying to acclimate you for next year.   The major reason for the scaled back display is because I fell and broke my elbow while decorating the house which required surgery (more on this later when I find time to write about the whole awful ordeal). The other reason, the reason for this blog, is that this is most likely our last Christmas that we will be living here on South Montreal Avenue.  We are in the process of building a new home in Preston Hollow.

We have quite a while before we will have to say goodbye to our wonderful neighbors - during this time we have so many decisions to make that will shape our new home.

We are working with Greico Modern Homes to build our dream home and I am excited to begin my very first blog which will chronicle the events, emotions, ideas, challenges, and excitement of building a brand new modern home.  I will be posting fast and furious to get the blog up to date (loan process, architect plans, lot, etc).

If all things work out, we hope to still decorate for Christmas...only instead of visiting us in Oak Cliff you will have to visit us in Preston Hollow.
